I was inspired in 2019 by the innovative format that James Clear has been using in his “3-2-1 Thursday” blogs in which he offers 3 ideas, 2 quotes and 1 question. I have modeled my 2020 blogs in similar fashion. Building off of my recent book UNBEATABLE! Seven Pillars of Personal Excellence, each week you will receive One Pillar, One Principle and One Practical.
Enjoy!
One Pillar
“With humility comes wisdom”-Solomon
One Principle
You could not separate Batman from Robin, Ernie from Bert, or Tom from Jerry. Don’t even try to get in between the brotherly bond of LeBron James and Dwayne Wade! Some things in life just go hand in hand. So, it is with humility and wisdom. None of us can attain true wisdom, if we are not humble.
One Practical
Be bold and start off 2020 by praying for wisdom beyond your years. You don’t have to be religious, you just have to be courageous. Ask for wisdom.

This concept is counter-cultural. Usually, we ascribe wisdom to those who are the loudest in the room, most academically qualified, or the most talented. We even expect those who are older to naturally be wiser. But true wisdom resides only with the humble in heart and is often found in those considered least by the world’s standards of measuring success. Thanks for the reminder to humbly pray to God the origin of all wisdom.
Proverbs 21: 30 – “No wisdom, no understanding, and no counsel will prevail against the Lord.”
Thanks Almando. Wisdom is sought after by so many of us, yet it can be so elusive at times. I am learning more and more that if I adopt a posture of humility, then I significantly increase my chances of not only attaining wisdom but also growing in it over time.
